Two Negatives Do Make a Positive

Everyone has had some adversity in their lives, but who hasn’t because it is a part of life, and how we react to those adversities can really bring out positive changes in those who experience them. For example, people who have experienced financial hardship can acquire the trait of being frugal or not wanting luxurious items altogether. Sometimes we mistake negative events in life not as teachable lessons that can bring about change in us, but as punishment. Although we do not have control over what happens in our lives as individuals, we do have control on whether we will allow those adversities to control us. Didn’t a wise man once say, “See the positive in everything!” And I think that is what we need to do.

My name is Dara and I am from the Windy City! …. And yes, part of the reason why I came to the University of Georgia was because of the weather! My birthday is in August (August 20th to be exact) so shout out to all my fellow Leos. I am a soon-to-be sophomore at UGA and am majoring in Broadcast Journalism. The goal is Good Morning America for me, but of course making pit stops in Atlanta, Chicago, and Los Angeles before I go to the “Big Apple” for good. I speak French and have been to Paris, and I’m looking forward to traveling outside the country more often. In other words, though, I hope you enjoy my posts on my reality of positivity and hopefully they will create some positivity in your life as well.
