“Positivity isn’t just an emotion; it’s a lifestyle.”

I always knew I wanted to start a blog. I had dreamt of sharing my college experiences, my OOTD (outfit of the day), and other posts that your typical lifestyle college blogger would do. But I realized that God had bigger plans for me.

The last month of my freshman year I had hit rock bottom. I was very burnt-out from taking 16 credit hours, I saw that everyone else around me was doing bigger and better things, and overall I was really just unhappy with who I was. It took a breakdown at UGA’s MLC for me to realize I don’t have to be this way. From that day forward, I decided that I would strive for a life of positivity.

From there, the blog idea came back in my head and this time I decided to go a different route. I wanted a blog that inspired people and gave them hope that their storm will pass or that their mountain will move. I wanted to create a place that people can talk about their joys and give light in situations that normally can seem very dark. However, I couldn’t do it by myself. I asked other people to join the team to bring different voices onto the blog. Before I knew it, The Positivity Project was coming together easily so I knew it was God’s will.
I am proud to present The Positivity Project as we promote our motto “It’s a Beautiful Day to be Positive”. We believe that it is important to share your story while it is still being written. The Positivity Project is a safe place where people can come to share not only their joys, but their trials too. We want you to be happy, have a good laugh, maybe even cry a little, but overall be inspired by the stories and articles that you read. The reason why it is a “project” is because it takes time to develop positivity before you get to the final product. The Positivity Project wants to help you, our reader, to be the positive person you seek to be. One blog post at a time.

Sincerely,

Jayda (Founder of The Positivity Project)
